Caesars Entertainment is one of Europe’s leading casino companies, offering a diverse portfolio of entertainment, gaming, restaurants and bars at locations throughout the United Kingdom. Matthews have worked in partnership with Caesars Entertainment UK since July 2014, following a tender process.

Caesars were looking for a supplier who was able to deliver: –

  • An intuitive, browser based, print and broadcast solution that could be customised
  • An online workflow that integrated with Caesars internal accounting systems/procedures
  • Consistency and reliability of solutions
  • Guaranteed cost savings on the current print spend through efficiencies and economies of scale
  • Reliable partner who could deliver consistency across all brands with fast turnarounds
  • A solution that ensures the casinos are cost accountable for all their own purchases and costs
  • Continuous improvements and developments of all online solutions
  • Proactivity in all aspects of print and distribution

Caesars selected Matthews as their partner of choice as we are able to deliver on all of the above key objectives and our ability to produce high quality print at competitive prices.

One of Caesars key objectives was to provide their casinos with simple to use systems and tools allowing them to take responsibility for all purchases and costs, all under the control of head office.

This enables the casinos to have full, live, visibility of their monthly spends for budgeting purposes. Matthews has fully supported this system with the automatic inclusion of all Caesars finance coding and information to enable complete integration into their own accounting platforms.

Since winning the contract we have worked with Caesars to provide them with a fully integrated online solution delivering complete and comprehensive communication audit trails.

These services include: –

  • Web-to-print – all users are able to login, make amends and order any local marketing that they may require, including posters, leaflets, menus, banners and invitations
  • Online stock control – Caesars use this solution to manage their stock levels as it provides real-time stock levels and efficient reporting
  • Briefing module – Caesars wanted an online solution that enabled their casinos to request bespoke artwork, data and local advertising, but also for all replies and artwork uploads to remain within the system. This module delivers this requirement as well as enabling them to complete the order once approved and it automatically coming through to Matthews for production.
  • Image Asset Library – an online storage facility for Caesars to store all of their images and for all casinos, employees and select agencies to login and download the images in the correct format and resolution, whether it’s for Print, Web, Press or Email.
  • Online Reporting – Caesars use the online reporting for all their forecasting and to monitor which types of products are used and to analyse Casino spend.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts owns and operates a portfolio of over 120 hotels worldwide. In Europe, the 24 hotels provide the perfect gateway to explore landmark locations, with many iconic attractions and 
business hubs close by. In a thousand ways there is ‘More than Meets the Eye’ to a Millennium Hotels and Resorts experience.

With a philosophy that ensures their hotels are never “cookie-cutter, but always fresh, surprising and tailored to their location,” it is not surprising that MHR wanted to find a print and communications partner who could help them achieve the same philosophy in their marketing campaigns.

Following a stringent tender process, MHR chose Matthews to become their print and communications partner of choice, partly due to our knowledge of the company from working with them since 2010, but mainly due to the bespoke service we are able to offer across all of their tender requirements.

The tender requirements included a need for a partner who could deliver exceptional print and customer service alongside an online solution that provided an efficient tool for their hotels to order local marketing products. Our online solution, Mediabridge, met this requirement with a modular based offering that enables Millennium to pick and choose which modules they utilise and who can view them. Mediabridge delivers the following solutions for MHR:–

Web-to-Print
– users are able to login, amend templates to suit their local requirements, order and send to print. Full tracking of spend is supplied for each hotel.

Online stock control
– real-time stock so hotels can easily see how much stock is available and what they are able to order. Efficient reporting is supplied to head office to ensure stock is always available and old stock lines are destroyed.

We will continue to work closely with Millennium Hotels and Resorts Group to ensure their goals and objectives are always met and deliver online solutions that aid and benefit their business.

It is not only the quality of our print that has meant we’ve sustained an excellent relationship with COMO Hotels and Resorts, it is also our exceptional customer service. COMO Hotels and Resorts ‘nurture each and every one’ of their guests as well as any enquiry’s and this is exactly how we treat our clients also. The symmetry between our customer service strategies assist both companies in ensuring a close and effective working relationship.

The Langham, London is the flagship hotel of Langham Hotels International, therefore brand integrity is crucial in maintaining this prestigious position.

Matthews worked closely with The Langham, London to assist them in achieving their vision of how their brand will be represented. The Langham, London’s colour is an important aspect of the brand and one that needs to be consistent across all preferred suppliers whether they be producing corporate or promotional materials.

The colour posed a challenge due to the variety of machines used and the different print methods, and as a result the preferred suppliers were unable to match the colour consistently. In order to overcome this obstacle we suggested producing an ink mix especially for The Langham, London that all suppliers would use, therefore minimising the risk of different variations of colour.

As a result of our experience and knowledge of brand management this solution has ensured that all materials represent The Langham, London’s brand effectively and the main goal of brand and colour management is consistent throughout.
